We provide a range of professional solutions to manage surface erosion and sediment run-off during construction. Our team are efficient and thorough, making sure your site is up to standard.
Our focus is on adequately protecting the site from run-off and soil erosion. We achieve this by ensuring the following:
We are aware of the requirement under the Workplace Health and Safety Regulations for the provision of safety barriers around excavations on building sites so Vidgil Silt Fencing also provides this service to our clients.
We can supply and install the visual barrier that is required around excavations by installing 1 metre high safety barricades using top-grade PVC barrier mesh attached to either hardwood timber stakes or star pickets with capping.
Vidgil Silt Fencing can provide a floating silt curtain to meet your needs. These can vary from small jobs i.e. 10m up to large civil works i.e. 500m. Our floating silt curtains have drops of either 1m or 2m. The floating silt curtain will be delivered to your site and anchored to the shoreline utilising concrete blocks. Once installed, there is no ongoing maintenance unless otherwise agreed upon. Prices will vary according to location and size.
Hydrocarbon booms contain spills on water and are flexible to also be used to form barriers and stay floating even when fully saturated. These can remain in place for months at a time and are also great for the entry/exit of stormwater pipes. Prices will vary according to the length required and location.
Silt socks prevent silt run off into stormwater drains and off driveways or construction sites. These are placed in the gutter or around the stormwater drain inlets. Vidgil Silt Fencing can provide these already filled in 1m, 2m or larger lengths as required. Contact us for prices and size requirements.
Coir logs are constructed of 100% coconut fibre and are bound by a netting to provide a comprehensive biodegradable material which can last several years. Coir logs are ideal for silt run off control where silt fencing and/or silt socks are inadequate or not a viable option.
Coir logs are either 20 or 30cm in diameter at 3m lengths. Contact us for prices and size requirements.
